| Our Purpose | ||
| Fifteen was a concept set up by Jamie Oliver in London in 2002 when he realised he could use his skills and energy to offer young people with tough backgrounds an opportunity to train and be employed in a supportive environment. | ||
| Jamie developed the restaurant Fifteen in London, putting young people at its heart. Since 2002 two further restaurants opened in Amsterdam and South West England. Melbourne will be the fourth in the growing Fifteen ‘family’ and Tobie Puttock is our Executive Head Chef.
Many of the young people we work with come from tough backgrounds with histories of substance abuse, homelessness, violence and learning difficulties that prevent them from entering the workforce via traditional pathways. The The Fifteen Foundation places them into a training program with real prospects and offers support to get them through it and to tackle the day-to-day issues that have previously held them back in education or training. |
